I was thinking the other day, and why can't all these inportant people just stop fighting? They are truly, in my opinion selfish. I talked to my mom and she said that to get elected, many people have to agree with you. I, personally, don't see how fighting between Democrats and Republicans matter when there are animals to rescue and the enviorment to save! Well, they might say "When you'r older you'll feel diffrently" but I won't.     `    You see, it may be that one day I will feel differently, but I see no chance of that happaning now.

Hi,
My name is Eva and I am one of the main editors for this site. I personally am a vegan, and am trying to get my friends to become vegans, too. I am currently 10 years old, and live in New York City. I sometimes am teased because of my devotion to being a vegan, but I don't mind. I was raised a vegetarian, and very recently I became a vegan as I learned how harmful it is to cows in milk factories. When my teacher told us we would get an ice cream party if we all got 100%, I was disapponted. It hurt when everyone was cheering, and then my teacher said to me "But you can't have milk, right?" After that I had to avoid a lot of awkward questions, but I do hope my teacher does not read this because she might feel guilty, and I don't want that.
It is my feeling that everyone should become vegan/vegetarian, because animals are being hurt, and only joining together and helping will give them their lives back.

Mrs. Wong is a fictinal caractor in the Mother-Daughter Book Club series. Mrs. Wong is a vegetarian, but the auhor makes her look as a freak and not a normal person. While Mrs. Wong is slightly wierd, it is wrong to assume all vegans are like this, and the author might want to think about apologizing, though it is too late to change the book. I, myself like the Book Club series as a whole, but the first thing my mom said when she read the new book was "I hate how Mrs. Wong is still the same," and I agree.
